International Turnkey Systems Promotes “The Role of Information Technology in Education”

International Turnkey Systems (ITS) organized, on September 6, a one-day seminar at the University of Jordan on “The Role of Information Technology in Education.”

The seminar was held under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research H.E. Dr Khaled Toukan. The seminar underscored the required partnership between Arab educational sectors and the world’s leading Information Technology firms, by promoting high-tech solutions and programs that develop the quality of performance at schools and universities.

Mr. Khaled Said, ITS’ General Manager, delivered an opening speech at the seminar, in which he welcomed Dr. Toukan’s participation and stated, “Turnkey Information Systems’ choice of Jordan to host its seminar stems from our strong faith and trust of the rapid growth that Jordan realizes at its economic, educational and scientific aspects. We are here to emphasize our determination to take part in Jordan’s development process and contribute to its growth, considering the matchless political and economic stability that Jordan enjoys along with its advanced and safe environment for investments.”

Mr. Said added, “ITS aims at enhancing the quality of Arab business environments to keep pace with the evolving changes in the competitive and dynamic world economy. The company provides extensive package of integrated turnkey solutions, designed for different sectors such as higher education, banking, financial institutions and telecommunications to foster their competitiveness in the global market.”

Mr. Said indicated to the rapid scientific and academic growth that Jordanian universities enjoy on all aspects, and stressed that such growth enhanced the quality of performance and products at these universities. “We reiterate our extreme commitment to supply the Jordanian universities with the required IT-based programs and systems to ensure their competitiveness at the regional and international levels,” Mr. Said explained.

“There is a program named ‘Digital Campus' designed for universities, in which students will cope with different learning styles based on the high-tech academic programs. It also serves the faculty’s mission in creating on-line network of courses that are dynamic and interactive,” he added.

Meanwhile, Mr. Ashraf Arafeh, ITS regional director in Jordan, briefed the audience at the seminar pertaining to “Enabling e-Education through The Unified Digital Campus” system, which was designed for Arab universities to provide them with integrated and rich educational functionality through various core technologies to facilitate efficient interaction. He pointed out that the seminar’s main objective was “to promote the state-of-the-art IT solutions to Arab universities and develop their functioning in a cost-effective manner to correlate to the rapid growth in the global economy.”
