Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi on Tuesday hailed the massive turnout of Venezuelan people in the presidential referendum and stressed that the move is in line with the continuation of trend of democracy in that country.
The Islamic Republic of Iran attaches importance to votes and mass participation of the Venezuelan people in their country`s presidential recall elections, he said, according to IRNA.
