An Iraqi doctor who defied the regime of Saddam Hussein to save lives will be one of the key speakers at a major new event being launched this year to meet the interests, needs and ambitions of women living in the Middle East.

Dr. Khuzai, the first female physician in her hometown of Diwaniah in the Euphrates, will be among a line up of leading medical professionals who will address a range of women’s health topics at Simply Health, the medical component of Simply Woman from 29-30 November.

Organised by Streamline Marketing and taking place at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre, Simply Woman is a new forum being introduced for all women, including working professionals, students, housewives and mothers. The event is specifically designed to provide detailed information on a range of female topics, including health, careers, fashion and interior design and explore them in more detail in the form of seminars, conferences and workshops.

A prominent figure not only in Iraq but the rest of the Middle East, Dr Khuzai qualified from Baghdad Medical College in 1968 and subsequently travelled to the UK where she worked for six years. Having witnessed the atrocities of war and the ruthlessness of Saddam’s regime, Dr Khuzai has dedicated her life to saving lives and helping others.
