ALBAWABA- Israeli media reports that the government has informed the military of its readiness to implement a prisoner exchange agreement with Hamas, marking a significant step toward a ceasefire and humanitarian relief for Gaza.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to hold a consultative meeting shortly to finalize the agreement's details.

According to Channel 12 Israel, the deal's first phase involves the release of three Israeli captives on the first day, four on the seventh day, and three more on the 14th day.

Approximately 1,000 Palestinian prisoners will be released during the initial stage, though elite Hamas detainees will not be included. Humanitarian aid to Gaza will increase to 600 trucks per day.

Additionally, the Israeli army will withdraw from the Netzarim axis and most of the Philadelphi corridor, retaining only a small force in the latter. By the 22nd day of implementation, Gaza residents will be permitted to return to the northern part of the Strip.

A Qatari-Egyptian inspection force will oversee vehicular crossings into northern Gaza.
The second phase, lasting 42 days, begins today on the 43rd day of the agreement's overall timeline.

The announcement follows reports that Hamas and Islamic Jihad have approved the ceasefire and exchange deal, according to Palestinian sources close to the negotiations.

Meanwhile, hundreds of Israelis demonstrated outside Netanyahu's residence in Jerusalem, urging the government to secure a comprehensive agreement.

The agreement signals progress toward alleviating the humanitarian crisis in Gaza while addressing prisoner concerns on both sides.
