Israeli Army said its sappers defused on Tuesday afternoon two roadside bombs discovered at the Mehola junction in the Jordan Valley, reported the Jerusalem Post.

The Post said Mehola resident Shmuel Oved spotted a black plastic bag connected to a cell phone. Another resident of the region who passed by peeped inside the bag and spotted a 160 mm. tank shell.

The two closed the road to traffic and waited for the security forces to arrive. Army sappers discovered an additional bomb and detonated the two. The force of the blast damaged a high-tension electricity wire, leading to power cuts in five nearby communities. The road was reopened five hours later, said the paper – Albawaba.com
