An Israeli settler was reportedly killed in a stabbing attack in the Israeli settlement of Ariel in the central occupied West Bank on Monday, according to Israeli news website Arutz Sheva.
Arutz Sheva reported that the settler, a man in his 30s, was stabbed in the chest by a Palestinian. The settler was initially reported to be in critical condition. It was announced that he succumbed to his wounds, according to Jerusalem Post.
Parademics from Magen David Adom, Israel’s national emergency service, were deployed to the scene of the alleged attack.
MDA said on their twitter that paramedics had performed CPR on, and administered medicine to the settler, adding that they had stopped the bleeding. But the victim eventually passed away.
While Arutz Sheva reported that the attack was committed by a Palestinian, the identity of the alleged suspect remained unknown.
It also remained unclear if the suspect had been apprehended by Israeli security forces.
