Jazeera Airways, the Middle East’s first private scheduled airline, today announced it will begin direct flights to Shiraz starting March 29, 2007. Jazeera Airways will fly direct twice a week from Kuwait to Shiraz, operating brand new Airbus A320s all fitted with leather seats.
“Shiraz follows close on the heels of Sharm El Sheikh, and Larnaca as one of our new exciting destinations for this year,” said Chairman and CEO, Marwan Boodai. “Iran is large country and as whole is an important destination for business travelers and tourists from Kuwait and the region. And by serving three destinations in Iran, our travelers will now have a choice of direct flights to target city. The other two cities are Mashhad and Tehran, the capital.”
Fares to and from Shiraz start at KD 8 with flights operating on Thursdays and Saturday.

Complementing Shiraz’s charming atmosphere is the international annual art festival, its famous 18th Century Vakil bazaar and ancient centres of learning making it an ideal tourist destination.

Travelers can alternatively book their tickets through the customer support call centres in their cities or through their chosen travel agents.
