Acting Lower House speaker Nassar Qaisi on Monday said he would reject any solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict that comes at the expense of Jordan and Palestine, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
“We will not accept subbing the Palestinian people’s rights to return to their home for compensation,” Qaisi stressed during his speech at the Annual Diaspora Forum held in Istanbul.
Qaisi also called for international pressure and mobilisation to enable UNRWA to continue its work, highlighting Jordan’s effort to support Syrian refugees despite limited resources.
The Kingdom has received about 1.3 million Syrian refugees and integrated them into local communities, according to the acting speaker.
