In celebration of National Days of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Kashmir & Argeelah restaurant organized an educational event at the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC), to mark Independence Day, Army day, and Great Arab Revolt Day.

The event was held at KHCC on Saturday 7/6/2008, and featured a lecture on the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF) and the country’s independence and development over the years, in addition to a beautiful musical performance by JAF band.

On this occasion Mrs. Marie-Clare Marroum – Kashmir & Argeelah restaurant owner commented: "We celebrate the anniversary of these occasions dear to our hearts; the Great Arab Revolt which was a real Arab renascence in the twentieth century that aimed at achieving Arab unity and freedom, was the driving force for our independence."

Mrs. Marroum added: "the celebrations are an opportunity to inculcate the values of citizenship and belonging, and to give the children at the King Hussein Cancer Center an opportunity to participate in homeland celebrations in an atmosphere which will have positive psychological and social effects on the children."

At the end of the celebration, Mrs. Marroum distributed prizes to the children and expressed her gratitude to the Armed Forces for their valuable contribution.
