Kuwait welcomed on Sunday the “positive assertions” made recently by United States President George W. Bush in his vision for a settlement to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
In a statement released after its weekly session, the Kuwaiti cabinet expressed “its appreciation for the positive assertions in President George W. Bush's speech about American policy in the Middle East.”
The statement referred specifically to points “concerning the establishment of the Palestinian state, the necessity of Israel's withdrawal from occupied land, ending the siege on Palestinian people and stopping the construction of settlements”, according to AFP. (Albawaba.com)
