ALBAWABA- A tragic accident occurred today in northern Kuwait, where an F-18 fighter jet from the Kuwaiti Air Force crashed during a training mission, killing the pilot on board.
Colonel Hamad Al-Saqr, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, confirmed the crash and the loss of the pilot's life. The incident took place during a routine training exercise.
Investigation teams have been deployed to the site of the crash and are actively working to uncover the details and causes behind the accident.
The Ministry of Defense has yet to release the name of the pilot or further specifics about the crash.
This marks a somber event for Kuwait’s military aviation community as the authorities continue to investigate the incident.
Prior to this, Kuwait had experienced another incident in 2017 when an F-18 Hornet fighter jet crash-landed due to technical failure. However, the pilot survived that incident.
