The Kuwaiti cabinet reviewed on Sunday the second report of the public authority for assessment of compensations resulting from the Iraqi invasion of the Gulf state in 1990.

It reviewed the authority's efforts with the United Nations compensations committee to work fast on the payments of compensation to those who deserve it.

The cabinet also discussed approving Kuwait’s membership to aid countries if a nuclear accident took a place and an investment exchange agreement between Kuwait and Algeria, the Kuwaiti official news agency (KUNA) said.

Another issue on the agenda was Kuwait’s membership to the 1997 Montreal Protocol concerning the 1987 greenhouse emissions. The cabinet, however, discussed the latest international and regional developments and the national assembly's affairs by viewing MPs’ suggestions and recommendations, said the report.
