Two army officials were killed in a huge explosion at an army checkpoint outside of Benghazi Wednesday, Reuters reports. Six men were also injured.

“It appears to be a suicide attack,” an official told Reuters. It is unclear who was responsible for the attack.

Libya has been grappling with rising insecurity since the 2011 overthrow of Muammar Gaddafi. The country is currently awash with weapons with numerous militant groups attacking government buildings and officials.
