Libyan-Tunisian cultural, youth cooperation agreement signed

The minutes of the 6th session of the Libyan-Tunisian committee for education, culture, information, youth and sport was signed in Tunisia Tuesday afternoon. The minutes provide the promotion of integration between the two countries in the fields of education, scientific research, uniting educational curriculum and institutions, twining universities, student affairs, vocational training and scientific researches.

 

According to JANA, the minutes stressed the need to foster cooperation between Libya's Arabya Books Publishing House, and Ibn Khaldoun for visual-audio production, joint cultural centres, and activating the executive programme for technical cooperation between the two countries.

 

The minutes also included the approval of the minutes of the joint work team between Libya's Broadcasting and Tunisian Broadcasting Corporation that took place 14 and 15 of June 2002.

 

It was also agreed to exchange visits by specialists and experts in the field of youth and develop horizons of youth cooperation, participation in sport activities taking place in both countries, in celebrating of national anniversaries, encouraging cooperation between the Libyan and Tunisian National Olympic Committees.

 

An executive programme for cultural cooperation between Libya and Tunisia for 2005 and 2007 was singed and it included literary fields, libraries, cinema and collection arts, heritage, music, theater cultural institutions and cultural days.
