US F‑35A Lightning II transmits emergency code 7700: Iran claims

ALBAWABA - The Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) headquarters said that a U.S. F‑35A Lightning II transmitted the emergency code 7700 on Monday morning. The fighter jet, flying over the Sea of Oman, changed its route after the signal and made an emergency landing at Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
