The project was undertaken by the Mohammed bin Rashid Housing Establishment as part of efforts to provide the largest number of houses for UAE youths.
Sheikh Majid inspected a number of villas ready for delivery.
Sami Gargash, Executive Director of the Establishment, explained to Sheikh Majid and top officials accompanying him, the three designs developed for building these villas which combined the local, Islamic and Andalusian architectural concepts.
Gargash said the 940 villas would be built in an area spanning 127,000 hectares with an investment of Dh1.2 billion.
Sheikh Mahid expressed his satisfaction over the project "which will provide decent housing to young UAE nationals and bring about social and psychological stability among them when they have their own families."
