Matalan, the United Kingdom’s number one value department store, today inaugurated their third store in the UAE. The leading fashion and home ware retail chain launched the store at Lamcy Plaza, Dubai. The store was officially inaugurated by Mr. Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, the celebrity UK interior designer, at a gala event held at the mall. The event was also attended by senior officials from the brand.
Matalan is solely distributed in the Middle East by the Business Trading Company (BTC). A leading clothing and home ware retailer in the UK and UAE, Matalan boast of quality and high-street fashion at pocket-friendly prices. The outlet at the Lamcy is set to be one among the largest anchor stores at the mall. Speaking at the launch event, Mr. Hasit Kakkad from Matalan, said: “We are delighted with the launch of the second Matalan store here in Dubai. During the launch of the first store, we were certain that Matalan would be as loved here as it is back in the UK. We got a tremendous response from the fashionable and diverse populace here. We hope that with the opening of this second store, we continue to receive the affection and support of our patrons.”

As well as running his own interior design practice in Cirencester, Mr. Llewelyn-Bowen has a number of very successful product ranges including a best-selling range of bedding & home accessories designed exclusively for Matalan.
