A mentally-ill Jordanian father reportedly confessed on Sunday to murdering three of his teenage children in a wooden area in Ajloun, according to official sources.
Sources said that the father confessed to murdering his three sons and re-enacted the crime in front of the authorities.
The nature of mental illness the father suffered from was not immediately clear, Jordan’s official news agency (Petra) said.
Another source was by the Jordan Times as saying that the father emerged as the prime suspect shortly after the crime was reported because he was the last person seen with his children in a wooden area.
The father claimed that he took his children to a plot of land he owned to chop trees and collect wood, and on the way “his son Fadi, 14, was accidentally shot in the chest while playing with his father's gun,” the source said.
The shock affected the mentally ill father and made his children scream following the alleged accidental shooting, he lost control of himself and shot his two [other] children, the source added – Albawaba.com
