Middle East Quality Association (MEQA) 1st Annual Congress Opens Today

Annual Congress opens today under the inauguration of His Excellency Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, President of e-TQM College at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Dubai.

“The opening day of the Congress will see the beginnings of several important discussions,” said Dr. Mansoor Al Awar, Vice President, e-TQM College and Chairman of MEQA.  “This Congress will give to Dubai and the region the most important concepts of quality and management.  In order to continue to be at the forefront of a rapidly changing market and economy, knowledge in these areas is a necessity.  We believe this Congress will help attendees greatly in their own in endeavours, both in business and in life.”

The MEQA Congress has been founded to spread the teachings of the Quality Concept throughout the Middle East.  The Congress will demonstrate how value-focused organizations have responded to the unprecedented uncertainties of the new global economy and it’s shifting paradigms by taking systemic and integrated business management approaches structured upon Quality-based models.  Many notable figures from the world of business and Quality will be on hand to speak including Dr. Armand Val Feigenbaum, the originator of the concept of Total Quality Control; Prof. James Harrington, the Chief Executive Officer for the Harrington Institute and the U.S. Chairman on Technologies for Project Management, University of Quebec, Prof. Tito Conti, President, International Academy for Quality (IAQ) and Dr. Joe De Foe, President and Executive Coach, The Juran Institute.
