MindShare MENA Group held in Egypt

MindShare MENA Group gathered 115 of the region’s Managers and employees for their training conference at Sharm al Sheikh. The theme of conference was “Off  To A New Era” as introduced by MindShare MENA’s CEO Samir Ayoub. The blueprint of the three day conference became evident during Ayoub’s speech and over the course of the 1st day when a selection of esteemed key industry speakers were invited to share their insights into relevant topics which are in line with of company’s future directions, not only to further grow, but to lead in an industry where technological advancements in communications and the economy have changed and will continue to change the landscape of the industry.


The three pillars that shaped the topics presented by guest speakers were surrounding issues such as new media and the evolving media landscape.  Dr Marwan Iskandar, Economist, presented a very detailed overview of the economy, both the macro regional economy as well as media-centric economy. Lastly the ever present topic of enhancing creativity in the industry, featured amongst several speakers including Sital Banerjee, Global Media Director of Philips.

Nick Waters, CEO, MindShare EMEA looked at how brands must evolve their messages to create branded entertainment to stimulate and engage the latest generation of consumers and how we need to successfully adapt to the digital age in order to have success in the next 10 years. This theme was strongly supported by Mohamed Badran, Marketing Director of Motorola Middle East.

Raef Labaki, Communication & Marketing Services Director for Nestle presented on ‘Bringing the love Back and how consumers are now in control and how communication is now about engagement and appealing to consumers on an emotional level, “clients are now looking for more media integration and collaboration”.

Antoine Choueiri, Chairman of Choueiri Group gave some invaluable insights on how to better regulate the industry for the benefits of our clients , as well as taking  adspend to the next level. The future of TV, is it dying in a digital age? This topic was examined and acumen revealed by Ali Jaber, Managing Editor Director of Dubai TV.

Edmond Moutran, Chairman of MindShare MENA wrapped up the first day with austerity and direction for the company to move forth into a New Era.

The following 2 days consisted of intensive skills training from Leadership to Management Finance to Presentation Skills.

The final dinner was held at Buddha Bar and it was a sumptuous feast and relaxed social gathering which gave everyone the opportunity to put faces to names that were only familiar on emails.
