Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre for Leadership Development (MBRCLD) has announced that it has recently conducted a session to orient participants of Promising Leaders Program, a level of MBRPLD, about the activities, objectives and their host countries in preparation for the Dubai Opening (DO) Study Tour to be held in Singapore and China from May 04 to 10, 2009. The latest edition of the international education tour will be held in association with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy and is designed to provide an intensive learning experience about public policymaking and management practices in Singapore and China.
MBRCLD has prepared several high-level discussions and meetings with leaders of international companies and organisations as well as senior government officials, as part of efforts to enhance the participants' knowledge and expertise in international relations and governance. Specifically, the DO Study Tour will assist participants in understanding how policy makers deal with the impact of the global financial crisis and sustain their development initiatives.
Adel Al Shared, Executive Chairman, MBRCLD said: "Singapore and China are among the key economic players in the Asian region and in the whole world, thus the DO Study Tour will definitely be a very enlightening and informative experience for the Promising Leaders level participants. It is important that they must be thoroughly prepared before they embark on this trip to enable them to fully take advantage of the learning opportunities and the gainful practical experiences they will encounter in Singapore and China."
Mohammed Al Obaid, Promising Leaders level participant, said: "The Dubai Opening Study Tour program offers a very interesting opportunity to learn more about how the Singaporean and Chinese Governments have managed to achieve significant economic successes. This trip will certainly support our pursuit towards becoming effective and insightful leaders of Dubai and the UAE."
It should be noted that this is the second round of the "Dubai Opening" as there was an educational tour for members of "Elite Program", the specialized program initiated by the Executive Office of Dubai, earlier this year to Singapore.
