Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak arrived in Tripoli Sunday evening on a brief visit for talks with his Libyan counterpart Moamer Kadhafi on international and regional issues, reports said.
Egyptian Information Minister Safuat Al Sherif told reporters that the two leaders discussed "the situation in the Middle East" and agreed "that a just and comprehensive peace cannot be made without the Palestinians obtaining their rights," AFP reported.
According to the agency, no indication was given by the president’s office as to the length of this visit that follows meetings in Cairo between Mubarak and Palestinian President Yasser Arafat on Sunday.
The last visit to Libya by the Egyptian president was on April 12.
