UAE resident wins AED 5 million grand prize with MashreqMillionaire’s saving scheme
Anticipation and excitement culminated with the announcement of MashreqMillionaire’s AED 5 million winner - the largest prize in the history of the UAE. Mohit Himthani, the ten year old son of Laxman Himthani, won the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) grand prize following the MashreqMillionaire live raffle, an unprecedented saving scheme destined to change people’s lives forever.
The prize money is the largest amount given out by any organization in the UAE history and ties in with the promise that ‘Mashreq Makes More Millionaires’. The draw was conducted at Mashreq’s head office in the presence of Mr. Abdullatif Mohammed Al Marzooqi, Commercial Control Coordinator from the Department of Economic Development of Dubai’s Government to ensure the transparency and accuracy of the raffle.

The lucky winner purchased 15 Mashreq certificates, totaling in 15,000AED from Mashreq’s Burjuman branch. “Today is a day I will remember forever,” enthused the winner. “I still can’t believe that I actually won, this is like a dream come true. Laxman Himthani, an accountant working at Lamcy Plaza, received a surprise visit from Mashreq’s Management Team an hour after the draw was conducted. The lucky winner was very excited and immediately called his wife to share the good news. Colleagues all over Lamcy Plaza rushed to congratulate him on his big win and ask him all sort of questions now that his life has forever been changed!
