The Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) of Jordan, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and FTO Holdings, along with Ayla Aviation Academy, have launched in Aqaba today the first Multi-Crew Pilot Licence (MPL) Forum in the Middle East, previously announced.

The Forum is co-sponsored by Royal Jordanian, Gulf Air Training, Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), the Arab Civil Aviation Commission (ACAC), the Arab Air Carriers Organization (AACO), Alsim, Thales, Mechtronix, CAE, JATS, Atlantic Flight Training (AFT) an FTO Holdings’ company, Royal Jordanian Air Academy, MidEast Aviation Academy, Aviation Business Magazine, Air Cargo, CAT Magazine and Halldale Media Group.

This venue gathers important companies and organizations from the aeronautical industry, coming to discuss Multi-Crew Pilot Licence, the new competency based-approach training scheme, seen as a way to improve pilot training by introducing high technology devices and airline oriented modules at a very early stage of the training.

Regulators, Airlines and Flight training organizations are meeting in Aqaba to discuss this program with the objective of providing the industry with highly qualified, better trained pilots.

International key experts are also addressing MPL regulatory and Design aspects, during interactive workshops that will help defining best practices and discussing pending issues.
