ALBAWABA - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared on Sunday to dissolve the war cabinet which was formed following the latest aggressive war in Gaza.
The Jerusalem Post reported that Netanyahu made the announcement during Sunday's meeting with the cabinet.
Israel's Prime Minister said: "The cabinet was in the coalition agreement with [National Unity MK Benny] Gantz at his request. As soon as Gantz left - there is no need for a cabinet anymore."
According to Netanyahu, no new cabinet is expected to be formed at the current time. This comes a week after Benny Gantz's resignation from the Israeli war cabinet.
Gantz said: "Netanyahu prevents us from moving forward to a real victory (in Gaza)."
The Israeli war cabinet was formed on Oct. 11, 2023, days after the beginning of the Israel–Hamas war which began on Oct. 7 when Al-Qassam Brigades fighters carried out the Al-Aqsa Flood operation against Israel.
The war in Gaza has been going on since Oct. 7 leaving at least 37,296 Palestinians killed and 85,197 others injured, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health.
