Egyptian Loula Zaklama to Receive 2007 Atlas Award
The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) awarded Loula Zaklama, president and managing director, Rada Research & Public Relations in Cairo the Atlas Award for Lifetime International Achievement at the Society’s 2007 International Conference, Oct. 20–23, in Philadelphia.
The award is the most esteemed and prominent award recognizing excellence in the world of public relations, today. It is presented to an individual who has made extraordinary contributions to the practice and profession of public relations, on a global scale, over the span of his or her career.
“It is an honor to present this prestigious award to Loula, an Egyptian entrepreneur who introduced advertising, public relations and market research to the Arab world and helped establish ‘boundaryless’ global communication as a standard practice rather than an ideal,” said PRSA Chair and CEO Rhoda Weiss, APR, Fellow PRSA, who will present the award to Zaklama during the Monday luncheon at the International Conference. “She is truly deserving of this award and have left her imprint on the world of international public relations.”
