ALBAWABA - Red Cross chief Mirjana Spoljaric announced on her account on X (formerly Twitter) that she arrived in the Gaza Strip on Monday.
The Red Cross chief expressed her grief over the situation in Gaza adding that the suffering there is "intolerable".
She posted: "I have arrived in Gaza, where people’s suffering is intolerable. I repeat our urgent call for civilians to be protected in line with the laws of war and for aid to enter unimpeded."
"The hostages must be released and @ICRC allowed to safely visit them," Mirjana Spoljaric added.
The arrival of Mirjana Spoljaric Egger to Gaza comes amid Israel's continuous airstrikes and attacks on the strip which killed over 15,500 Palestinians since Oct. 7.
Moreover, over than 41,000 others have been injured since the start of the Israeli aggressive attacks shortly after the announcement of the Al-Aqsa Flood operation by Hamas.
