ALBAWABA - Tensions persist in the Red Sea as the US Central Command (CENTCOM) reports the interception of 12 kamikaze drones, 3 anti-ship ballistic missiles, and 2 cruise missiles over a 10-hour period.

Simultaneously, Yemen's Houthi claim responsibility for kamikaze drone attacks on a commercial ship in the Red Sea and the Israeli city of Eilat in the northern Red Sea.

In response to escalating attacks by Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen, the United States has formed a coalition to ensure security in the Red Sea. According to CENTCOM, 12 kamikaze drones, 3 anti-ship ballistic missiles, and 2 cruise missiles belonging to the Houthis were successfully intercepted in the southern Red Sea, starting at 06:30 local time yesterday. The statement underscores that no damage or injuries were reported on the ships in the region.

Last week, in light of the heightened attacks on commercial ships navigating through the Red Sea by Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen, a multinational coalition, spearheaded by the United States, was established.
