Technogym has always been committed to developing products and solutions for people’s wellness. And there’s not people’s health and quality of without quality of their environment. Technogym has developed Run Now, the first environmentally friendly treadmill that reduces the consumption of electricity by up to 40%.

TUV – the prestigious German certification institute – has officially certified that RUN Now guarantees lower energy consumption compared to other treadmills in the same category while offering the same or higher levels of performance.
RUN Now, the result of an entire years’ research at Technogym, represents the Excite+ line state of the art treadmill used by over 20 million people the world over.

Reducing the consumption of electricity by up to 40% is an extremely significant statistic in terms of energy savings and the consequent reduction in CO2 emissions. The average gym, for example, fitted with 20 treadmills can save up to 3 kVAh a day, which is equivalent to the power required to light 150 bulb for one hour, and in a year, the energy saved is enough to light 4,500 light bulbs the equivalent of an entire block!

Moreover, the quality and reliability of Run Now have been considerably improved thanks to numerous product innovations that have enhanced its ergonomic line and introduced new features, such as the adjustable display stand that improves screen visibility and solves the problem of dazzle. Another innovation, the “ready to run” device that increases safety by ensuring that people cannot step onto the moving belt by mistake, also guarantees maximum reliability and interactive, enjoyable training.

Offering health and wellness are two elements that are increasingly important for business models seeking to help people living better. In the same way, the ecological sustainability of products has become a concrete indicator of the manufacturer’s sensitivity in the sphere of social responsibility and its commitment to developing projects aimed at reducing pollutant emissions.

The RUN Now project is part of a plan to develop specifically green products and solutions that will help Technogym to realize its dream of creating gyms that are energy self-sufficient. Clean Energy is therefore produced by the physical exercise of the people working at the gym. This is the gym of the future, a place where the energy produced by users is channelled into a network and used to power the centre’s electrical appliances, thereby reducing the consumption of energy produced externally using traditional, pollutant methods.
