Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to visit Saudi Arabia in October, announced Saudi Energy Minister Khalid al-Falih said on Monday.

Falih, who was in Moscow for talks with his Russian counterpart, added that Saudi companies were considering taking part in a methanol plant project in Russia’s east, the Interfax news agency reported.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had visited Riyadh in March where he discussed Putin’s upcoming trip among other issues.

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz had paid a visit to Russia in October 2017.
