Threat bulletin: Internet Explorer zero-day vulnerability

“In addition to Microsoft’s Patch Tuesday updates today, the company also issued an advisory for a new zero day vulnerability affecting Internet Explorer. Symantec has observed exploitation of this vulnerability in the wild and has created AV signatures Backdoor.Sykipot and JS.Sykipot detections to mitigate this attack.  Symantec is also releasing Generic Exploit Blocking IPS update "HTTP IE Attribute Handler Code Exec" today to protect against exploitation of the underlying vulnerability.”
