ALBAWABA - Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate and former US president, has launched a vicious assault on Vice President Kamala Harris, claiming that she is to blame for Hamas' October 7th attack on Israeli settlements close to Gaza.
Trump posted the following remarks on his social media network, "Truth," after Senator Elizabeth Harris gave her victory speech at the DNC in Chicago.
Reiterating her support for Israel's right to self-defense, Harris had called for the release of captives and a truce in Gaza during her address. She called the suffering in Gaza "heartbreaking," expressing her profound sadness for it, and vowed to collaborate with President Joe Biden to put an end to the conflict, protect Israel, and uphold the rights of the Palestinian people.
But Trump objected to Harris's comments, calling her a "hater of Israel" and pointing out that Harris was not present at Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's most recent address to Congress.
He further claimed that the October 7th assault was caused by Harris's policies and that it would not have happened if he was still president.
In addition, the outgoing president said that Iran was bankrupt and unable to finance organizations such as Hezbollah, suggesting that Harris's policies had contributed to the rise in unrest in the area. A lot of people are debating Trump's remarks as the 2024 presidential contest intensifies.
