ALBAWABA - In a recent military operation, the Turkish Ministry of National Defense (MSB) has reported the successful destruction of 15 targets in northern Iraq.
The operation, executed through aerial maneuvers, specifically targeted caves, shelters, residences, and depots associated with the The Kurdistan Workers' Party and other organizations, eliminating a significant threat posed by high-ranking organisations.
The MSB took to social media to make the announcement, revealing that the operation, conducted on January 6, 2024, at 17:30, covered strategic areas in northern Iraq, including Metina, Gara, Hakurk, Kandil, and Asos. The targets, identified as sites utilized by the organizations, were known to harbor high-ranking members within caves, shelters, residences, and depots.
Providing details on the successful outcomes, the MSB stated that the precision aerial strikes resulted in the complete destruction of all 15 identified targets.
The MSB emphasized that the operation not only destroyed physical structures but also led to the neutralization of a significant number of organizations members. MSB also added "The successful execution of the operation underscores Turkey's dedication to regional security and its proactive stance against terrorism."
