Fifteen people suspected of links to Daesh were arrested in raids in Turkey’s capital Ankara on Monday, police said.
An early morning operation by anti-terror police saw the suspects seized in the city’s historic Ulus neighborhood. Eleven of the suspects were foreigners, a police source told Anadolu Agency on condition of anonymity due restrictions on talking to the media.
The operation is the latest in a recent wave of arrests that have seen hundreds of suspected Daesh, Kurdistan Workers’Party (PKK) and Revolutionary People's Liberation Party–Front (DHKP-C) supporters arrested across Turkey.
