Two novels by Moroccan authors, Abdelkerim Ghallab and Tahar Benjelloun, have just been translated into Spanish. Ghallab’s novel “Sifr Al Takwin” published in Arabic back in 1996 was translated by the School of Translation of Tolede and published under the name “Genesis”. Tahar Benjelloun’s novel «Eloge de l’amitie, ombres de la trahison» (Eulogy for Friendship, Shadows of Betrayal) was published by El Aleph Publishing House under the title “El Ultimo Amigo” (the Last Friend).

Le Matin also reports that Benjelloun’s book deals with the reality of human rights in Morocco during the 60’s and 70’s and Ghallab’s book deals with the social situation in Morocco during the 50’s.
