ALBAWABA - Suspect in killing far-right political activist Charlie Kirk appeared in court for the first time since the horrific assassination and spoke about the motivation behind his crime.

Tyler Robinson, 22, who is accused of assassinating Charlie Kirk during a speaking event at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10, was charged with a slew of offenses, including aggravated murder.

The attacker appeared in court virtually on Tuesday, where a judge revealed his charges and announced that he will remain in custody. Tyler Robinson's next hearing is scheduled for Sept. 29. 

According to CBC News, American prosecutors announced on Wednesday that they intend to impose the death penalty against Tyler Robinson over the killing of Charlie Kirk.

Tyler Robinson reveals the reason behind killing Charlie Kirk

According to Robinson's parents, they questioned their son why he committed this horrific crime, adding that he answered that "there is too much evil" and that Charlie Kirk "spreads too much hate," according to the charging documents.

It is worth mentioning that Tyler is allegedly having a relationship with his roommate, who is transitioning, and lately, he has changed his political views and become "more pro-gay and trans-rights oriented".
