Nadia Dajani, a classically trained architect, is a foremost name in jewelry design throughout the world. Recognized for its folkloric interpretations of ancient Arabic art and culture, her style is viewed as an innovative and artistic way to promote the message of peace and prosperity throughout the Middle East. It is no wonder then, that Nadia Dajani line has reached deep into the hearts of local Jordanians. In fact, it is with great pride that Nadia Dajani is celebrating the 4th Anniversary of her gallery under the patronage of H.H Princess Rajwa Ali, located in the Intercontinental Hotel Amman.

To celebrate such success, Nadia Dajani invites you to attend the unveiling of her newest collection, Reflections, from 11th to 22nd February 2008.

Nadia has showcased her original art pieces in several local and international exhibitions. Working with different materials, following fashion trends yet retaining a strong link with cultural dimension in design, the collections are named authentically to reflect their inspiration:  Flowers of the Desert, Islamic Illumination, the Roman Collection, and the Jerash Fish Collection are just a few of her most inspiring collections. In order to explain the message further to her audience, a small text accompanies each item of jewellery, along with anecdotal stories of Jordan’s culture and heritage.

Her creations feature symbolic and inspirational designs, and use the wealth of Arabic calligraphy depicting words such as peace, happiness, friendship, dignity, truth, tolerance, hope and justice.  The words are intended to bring spiritual comfort to those who wear them, and act as a reminder of the basic values and principles that are important to all mankind, as they spread all over the world from Jordan.

“I try to tell the rich cultural history of Jordan through my designs,” explains Dajani. “It is an expression of the modern Jordanian woman…..a blend of contemporary ideas with pride in traditional culture and roots.”
