The US-led coalition staged 24 airstrikes targeting Daesh in Syria and Iraq on Tuesday, Reuters reported
In Iraq, 16 strikes focused on Mosul, Ramadi and Kisik, where they struck four of Daesh's tactical units and four of its bunkers, said a statement issued by the military coalition.
Eight strikes near five cities in Syria destroyed Daesh fighting positions, as well as an excavator and oil booster pump generator, the statement added.
The US, along with 11 other coaliton members, mostly Arab countries, began a military campaign against Daesh in September 2014.
Since Iraqi forces ran Daesh out of Ramadi last month, the coalition has focused on routing out any remaining Daesh positions around the city, saying Mosul will be next to be recaptured.
