The US-led forces in Iraq declared on Sunday that a U.S. soldier was sentenced to 25 years behind bars for killing an Iraqi soldier.
The force said in a statement that the soldier was convicted of murdering a soldier of the National Guard, last May, at a base of the international force in Al-Dor near the northern city of Tikrit.
It said Federico Merida confessed to the crime in the course of the trial proceedings, held at a military base in the Tikirt region. (Albawaba.com)
