Wataniya Airways, Kuwait’s premium service airline, is celebrating the first anniversary of its launch of Beirut service. The Lebanese capital is one of the airline’s most attractive destinations for both business and leisure travellers.

Wataniya Airways Chairman, Abdulsalam Al Bahar, said: “We are delighted to celebrate the first anniversary of Wataniya Airways flights to Beirut. Our route has served Lebanese living in Kuwait who travel home on regular bases, as well as thousands of Kuwaiti travellers who have a special relationship with Beirut and have travelled throughout the past year to Beirut for leisure or business purposes. We will continue to welcome the growing demand of travellers flying to Beirut, and we are looking forward to welcoming more guests when we bring three more of our class leading Airbus A320 aircraft into service later this year.”

Al Bahar, added “A year ago we set out to give our guests the kind of flying experience that we knew they wanted and deserved, scheduling two flights a day to Beirut from Kuwait.  From the start our goal has been to make flying with Wataniya Airways an experience that delights from terminal to terminal. We have invested in the very best of aircraft and staff to help us achieve that goal and it is entirely due to the dedication of our team at Wataniya Airways that we mark this anniversary as the region’s only full premium service airline.  We want to thank all our guests for their continued support in the past year. We have received exceptionally positive reviews from them allowing us to continue to deliver the premium level of service our guests have been accustomed to.”

Wataniya Airways now has a fleet of four custom fitted A320 aircrafts, a fifth will be received later this month and two more are set to be received later in the year, bringing its total fleet size to seven aircraft.

The airline’s new Airbus 320 aircraft will continue to be configured with the lowest seat density of any A320 used on scheduled routes in the world. Each aircraft will feature 122 seats, compared with the 145 that a number of leading European airlines use in their A320s, ensuring excellent leg room and comfort throughout its First Class and Premium Economy cabins.

Wataniya Airways is a truly unique airline for both Kuwait and the region. Services include unrivalled guest care on the ground and in the air thanks to expertly trained staff; leading First Class and Premium Economy services; custom-outfitted aircraft cabins; convenient flight schedules; and Sheikh Saad Terminal, the exclusive arrival and departure hub offering unprecedented benefits to Wataniya Airways guests travelling to and from Kuwait.
