Israel fired several surface-to-surface missiles targeting sites south of Damascus late on Wednesday, Syrian state news agency SANA reported.

Missiles shot from the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights hit points near the town of Zakia, causing some material damage, according to the report.

Israel has repeatedly carried out strikes on Syria to target forces of the Bashar al-Assad regime and terrorist groups affiliated with Iran.
