ALBAWABA - American commentator Kyle Kulinski faced backlash and widespread criticism on social media after a post mocking Erica Kirk, the widow of the late conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was shot dead on September 10.
Kulinski, the host of the "Secular Talk" podcast, who has over 2 million followers on YouTube, shared the post on Halloween day on X, triggering a massive engagement and sparking a storm of controversy.
The post featured an edited image of Erika on the cover of a Spirit Halloween costume, with mascara falling all the way from her face to her chest and carrying what appeared to be a purse full of money.

The caption of the Halloween post read, "Fake Grieving Widow Grifter Costume". It also mockingly mentioned that the custom "includes: fake tear drops and skin-tight black leather mourning pants".
The post gained over 12 million views and more than 6,000 comments on Elon Musk's platform, where many were angered by the photo. One said, "Well...canceling my breaking points membership and never watching again."
Another person added, "This is beyond the pale, no matter the political differences." "I’ve never thought of myself as a political person, but this makes me worry for the future of our country," an X user commented.

The prominent conservative influencer was killed on Sept. 10 during an event at Utah University. A suspect, named Tyler Robinson, was arrested by the police.
Charlie Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, was shot dead, and a memorial day will be held in the U.S. on Oct. 14 each year, as it was marked as "The National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk" by the House of Representatives.
