ALBAWABA - American actress Viola Davis shared an Instagram post on protests in Iran, saying that the Islamic Republic is planning to sentence some 15,000 protesters to death.
The post, which drew the attention of more than a half-million people, claimed that Tehran also plans to rape the virgin females among the protesters, who were rounded up in the past few days, before executing them to deprive them of eternal life in heaven.
However, the title, "Female prisoners who are virgins must be raped before execution, to prevent them from entering heaven," seen inside the post which was shared by Viola, dates back to 2015. The discrepancy in the dates could not be immediately reconciled.
The shocking 'rape of virgin prisoners' ideology comes from a book written by Hossein Ali-Montazeri, a 79-year-old Shiite Muslim cleric, who was the designated successor to Iran's former Supreme Leader Ruhollah Khomeini for 10 years.

Instagram has censored the American actress's post on grounds it contained 'false information.'
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau criticized Iran's "barbaric decision" to impose the death penalty on nearly 15,000 protestors.
Canada denounces the Iranian regime’s barbaric decision to impose the death penalty on nearly 15,000 protestors. These brave Iranians were fighting for their human rights – and we continue to stand united in support of them, and united against the regime’s heinous actions.

CNN reported on Monday that an Iranian court has imposed the first death sentence in connection with the recent protests, convicting an unnamed person of "enmity against God," and "spreading corruption on Earth." It was not immediately clear when the execution will be carried out.
Protests erupted across Iran since the death of Mahsa Amini, 22, who was arrested by the country's morality police for wearing an 'improper hijab.' Amini was beaten up by Iranian forces and died on Sept. 16.
