ALBAWABA - An old video of astronomer Layla Abdel Latif in which she predicted the Morocco earthquake has gone viral on social media.
The video was from Layla Abdel Latif, 65, New Year evening predictions. She allegedly said some things that were likely to happen in Middle Eastern countries before reaching Morocco.
In the clip, the Egyptian-Lebanese astronomer was talking to a Lebanese TV host when she reached predicting events for Morocco.
She said: "Now we reached Morocco. Morocco is likely to witness an earthquake which would be felt by many people in the country."
She maintained: "The earthquake will cause panic in the hearts of many Moroccans and material damage will be also reported."
Nevertheless, Layla Abdel Latif was not the only person who predicted the Morocco earthquake as the famous dutch Frank Hoogerbeets, who's a well-known earthquake forecaster and researcher at SSGEOS, predicted a powerful earthquake five days before the shocking Morocco quake.
The death toll in the Morocco earthquake has jumped to over 2000 as rescue operations for people who are under the rubble are still ongoing, Moroccan interior ministry.
It further added that over 2,059 people were injured in the earthquake many of them critically.
