ALBAWABA - Twitch streamer Fandy shocked the internet after live-streaming the birth of her baby girl, Luna, to 50,000 viewers.

Fandy, who usually streams games such as World of Warcraft and League of Legends, gave birth to her daughter in her living room and broadcast the entire labor process to her followers for over eight hours. The video titled "Water Broke, Baby Time" captured Fandy surrounded by loved ones, including her husband, Adam.

The Twitch streamer was helped into an inflatable water tub, where she gave birth to the baby. The event marked the first time someone had given birth on the streaming platform.

Even Twitch's CEO, Dan Clancy, popped into the chat section to congratulate the streamer and wrote, "Fandy. Best of luck and congratulations. Wishing you the best in this journey."

The live-stream received mixed reactions on social media, with many users pointing out that giving birth is "intimate" and "personal," adding that not everything has to be filmed and shared on the internet to garner views.

A social media user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "Twitch allowed that? I thought it wouldn’t be allowed to happen on camera."

Another added, "Live streaming a home birth is f****ing crazy. Have we no shame? Have we no sense of intimacy & privacy anymore?"

Fandy announced her pregnancy on Instagram in April and wrote to her 300,000 followers, "I’m having a baby :) due Oct 18th! Future gladiator inc.," she captioned the post, tagging her husband as she added, "Super excited for this next chapter in life with @adamaxbro."
