ALBAWABA - US Representative Joe Wilson recently went viral on social media after proposing a new $250 bill featuring US President Donald Trump as its face.
He took to social media and wrote, "Grateful to announce that I am drafting legislation to direct the Bureau of Engraving and Printing to design a $250 bill featuring Donald J. Trump."
Wilson stated further, "Bidenflation has destroyed the economy forcing American families to carry more cash. Most valuable bill for most valuable President!"

According to The Slate, while many users across social media speculated the authenticity behind Wilson's proposal, the US representative's communication director allegedly solidified the claims on Tuesday night and wrote, "Real legislation coming soon."
The statement on Musk's X (formerly known as Twitter) was followed by an E-mail from Wilson who added that the new Trump dollar bill is in celebration of "America’s 250th anniversary next year" and "the President who is working to battle the economic problems left by Bidenflation."
He blamed former US President Joe Biden for America's recent economic struggles including the recent increase in prices for goods and services, and the loss of jobs. The proposal received mixed reactions from social media users across several platforms.
One user responded to Wilson and wrote, "Really? I voted for Trump, but isn’t there more pressing issues at hand?"
Another added, "Starting to think this is a parody account. You think we carry $250 around? You are out of touch Joe."
On the contrary, several others praised Wilson's proposal and wrote, "250 years of 🇺🇸 in 2026. Nailed it Sir." Another replied, "I love it!"
