Did you imagine yourself using a smartphone made by your favorite food chain? I guess not!

Many companies that are not related whatsoever to the tech world tried to introduce their own phones to the competitive market either as a kind of advertising, or even to try to get a part of the market and competition. Regardless of the reason, it’s definitely a bold move! But is it a “smart” one though?

Here are 6 phones that were made by some of the world’s most famous companies:

1.KFC Smartphone: Apparently KFC is not only about fried chicken! In 2017, KFC celebrated the 30th anniversary of the opening of its first branch in China by launching a KFC branded smartphone that works with a KFC version of the Android system. The phone that was manufactured by the Chinese company Huawei had a very special feature; the ability to control the music in any of the branches of Kentucky restaurants!

2.Energizer phone: Since Energizer is well-known for its long-lasting batteries, its main focus when it announced the making of its P18 phone 2 years ago was its battery! The phone can withstand 50 days of use without charging thanks to the huge battery size of 18000 mAh and it works as a power bank as well, as it can be used to charge other phones. The company had intended to launch it by the previous year, but it has not yet been launched.

3.Pepsi phone: Unlike KFC’s smartphone, Pepsi’s phone doesn’t include special features. The phone was launched in 2015 and manufactured by the Chinese company Koobe. The capabilities of the phone are very modest, as it carries a 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front camera, 2 GB of temporary memory and 16 GB of permanent memory, with a modest Mali 450-MP4 processor.

4. Dior phone: Just like how everything with the Dior label is so pricey, Dior’s smartphone is no different! It is considered one of the most expensive smartphones in the world! The discontinued phone costs about $ 7,000 and has very modest features like a 5-megapixel rear camera. The phone was made from 500 free diamonds and was designed by a group of Dior designers in Paris.

5. Kodak phone: When you hear “Kodak phone” you’d expect a smartphone with an outstanding camera. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case with the Kodak phone that was released in 2017. The phone’s camera was not that great due to the severe weakness in the programming of the camera processor, and the low battery life.

6. Ferrari phone: The Ferrari Vertu phone was released in 2007 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Ferrari cars. Since there were only 1947 phones manufactured, the price of one phone exceeded $ 25,000.
