Published November 7th, 2020 - 03:08 GMT

Slovenians lately launched fresh protests against coronavirus lockdowns turning out to be the most violent in years, as police used teargas and water cannons to disperse the crowd, leading to several injuries and arrests as both sides clashed.

The demonstrations in the capital Ljubljana was organised by activists calling themselves the Slovenian branch of the cyber group Anonymous.

Several hundreds of people joined hands in front of the parliament building with some attacking police officers due to the virus' latest measures imposed by the government.

The protesters used bottles, firecrackers, stones and smoke bombs. The police responded with tear gas, pepper spray and water cannon.
