Unknown gunmen opened fire on people from behind the stand during the parade held to mark the former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein's invasion of Iran which led to an eight-year war in the 1980s.
At least 25 people were killed and 60 others were injured, according to Iran’s IRNA official news agency. A woman and a child were among the wounded people according to the source.
Iranian local media said that the suspect was wearing military uniforms and fired at the Iranian forces during a military parade, in attack which lasted for about 10 minutes.
