Sony Ericsson Xperia mini pro now available in Middle East

Sony Ericsson today announced the Middle East launch of Xperia mini pro, a feature-rich and compact smartphone that is built on the success of the original mini-series. The versatile smartphone offers a complete multimedia entertainment experience and instant communication functionalities.
Xperia mini pro enables access to over 250,000 apps on the Android Market and has a three-inch scratch-resistant, multi-touch glass screen. The improved user interface allows the display of up to 16 apps on the home screen.
The innovative smartphone is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm SnapdragonTM processor and runs on Google’s Android Gingerbread 2.3. Beautifully designed, Xperia mini pro integrates best-in-class imaging and display technology from Sony, including Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine and HD video recording (720p).
Rudiger Odenbach, General Manager, Middle East and Africa, Sony Ericsson, said: “Building on the success of the original mini-series, the Xperia mini pro provides a flexible interface that enables instant and enhanced communication. The turbo-charged smartphone addresses the needs of today’s user by providing several feature-rich applications with a smart and easy-to-use design.”
The improved Xperia mini pro brings the optimized slide-out QWERTY keyboard for quick messaging. A fast type and send functionality eliminates the need to open a dedicated app for each type of message, while a smart keyboard triggers predictive messaging actions automatically when slid out. Xperia mini pro also comes pre-loaded with Office Suite and McAfee antivirus software, allowing consumers to manage documents and e-mails instantly and securely while on the move.
Facebook inside Xperia – an exclusive feature for the Xperia family - provides unique social media integration. Facebook in the new Xperia mini pro is immediately accessible from the most used areas of the phone such as the picture gallery, music player, phonebook and calendar. Furthermore, the application enables users to ‘like’, share and comment more easily than ever.
Available at leading electronic stores in the region, Xperia mini pro is priced at AED1299 and comes in black, white and pink colors.
